This is a painting I did for Dominick Dunne back in 2007. You can see his jacket and tie hanging on the tree and his glasses near the tree. I did it for him during the deliberations of my father's first trail. I call it Intermission
This is a picture I got from a tissue box, however in there rendering both the town and the hotel were on the same side of the bridge. Wanting to create separation, I opt to put the hotel/mansion away from the town creating isolation and solitude.
I loved the color of the photo more than the subject and felt it would be perfect to paint. I feel it's an inspirational painting, at least if is for me as it encourages me to move foreword while at the same time with the myriad of blue throughout the painting, relaxes me.
